Which Resource Will Earth Run Out First?

Having two young kids, like many parents, I am starting to look at life differently, my goals and ambitions have changed over the last few years. Today I am now seriously thinking where in the world would the best place be to live and bring up my children. My question to the people in the know is where on Earth would be the best place to live in 20yrs time.

As a planet we are running out of resources, so what will be the first resources to go? I heard someone say that if the whole world moved onto Nuclear power, there would only be about 10yrs worth of resource left to produce the materials for nuclear power stations. Solar power is also not a long term option as the materials for making the cells would also run out very quickly. So which country has the most natural resources?

Would love to hear peoples thoughts. Please leave a comment.

Oil is getting harder and harder to find or what they do find is harder to pump out of the ground.

Forget about some of this end of world nonsense blown out of proportion by the media - good people will always find solutions to crisis'. As an aspiring geologist (environmentally driven) I can tell you this. Although it's difficult to gain citizenship (I'm sure you have plenty of skills to offer the country no matter what profession you are as your putting your children ahead of yourself like any good parent) I suggest bringing up your children in either a Scandinavian country or somewhere like Canada or Switzerland. Check out Human Development Index's on the web. Countries such as Norway have carefully managed their North Sea oil for the benefit of their own people whereas the UK (where I live) has done the complete opposite due its capitalist greediness. I can't currently emigrate as I need to complete my degree first and develop more skills.

Chosing a country with a small sustainable, socially heathy population is the key. Scandinavian countries offer this with all their populations <10 million.

I don't think it'll be oil. Here in Canada we have six times as much oil as all the Middle East. It's still in the ground and most of it is untapped. My guess would be minerals..there's a lot of mining around the world. But I can't name any specifically.
